Strahinja Jovanović is currently a student of graphic design at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Slovenia, Ljubljana. Born in Serbia in 1999, he finished elementary school and high school in Kruševac. He also went to “Hartija”, private school of Arts in Kruševac, where he studied painting. Learning Art and Design from young age has taught him a lot about visual thinking, but that was not his only passion. His interest in mathematics and physics has moved him to study natural sciences in High School, which as he says “helped him in developing his design and learning how to incorporate different subjects in domain of visual world”.

Wnext is a corporate ventures platform designed to help companies discover transformative business opportunities. Instead of incremental improvements, it guides organizations toward exponential growth through strategic foresight, rapid validation, and venture building—all while keeping core operations safe.

The platform offers a structured approach to innovation: opportunity mapping to identify possible futures, validation to test ideas with real users, start-up matching to leverage existing solutions, and venture building to commercialize validated concepts as distinct entities.

Linear improvements are fine for stable revenue, but ground-breaking innovation requires a different approach. WNEXT provides a dedicated space for exploration, isolated from day-to-day operations, enabling companies to run multiple experiments and uncover new opportunities at speed.

In 2021, Wnext Ventures emerged with a clear mission: to help companies find the big new business opportunity and leave a mark on their organization. The project, developed by Strahinja Jovanović, involved creating a visual identity and design system for this innovative corporate ventures platform.

WNEXT addresses a fundamental challenge faced by established companies: how to pursue breakthrough innovation without disrupting existing operations. The platform’s solution is elegantly simple—create a dedicated, isolated space for exploration. While core business streams continue their steady progress, WNEXT runs parallel experiments, testing new ideas and uncovering opportunities that might otherwise remain hidden.

The platform’s methodology is structured around five core services. Opportunity mapping uses strategic foresight to identify possible futures, distilling them into a shortlist for validation. Opportunity validation then rapidly iterates these ideas using cost-effective, practical methods, testing them with real users before significant resources are committed. Start-up matching leverages existing solutions by finding, coordinating trials, and brokering deals with promising start-ups. Venture building commercializes validated solutions as distinct entities, free from the operational constraints of the parent company. Finally, venture financing connects these new ventures with investors who share the vision and can provide additional resources.

The design work for WNEXT reflects the platform’s core philosophy. The visual identity balances professionalism with forward momentum—clean, confident typography suggests stability and expertise, while dynamic compositions and bold accents hint at the exponential possibilities ahead. The logo mark itself carries a subtle implication of movement beyond the conventional, a visual nod to the platform’s mission of helping companies step beyond linear growth.

What sets WNEXT apart from traditional consultants is its practical, cost-effective approach. Rather than expensive, months-long consultations that deliver thick reports, WNEXT emphasizes doing—rapid experimentation, real user testing, and tangible outcomes. The platform operates as an asset, bringing together the client’s internal teams with a global network of advisors who contribute specialized know-how across strategy, product, e-commerce, legal, and investments.

The timing of this project is significant. Launched in 2021, WNEXT speaks to a moment when companies across industries were rethinking their approaches to innovation. The pandemic had accelerated digital transformation, and the need for new business models had never been more urgent. WNEXT offered a structured yet flexible framework for navigating this uncertainty.

For Strahinja, the WNEXT project represented an opportunity to apply design thinking to the world of corporate strategy and venture building. The visual system he created doesn’t just look professional—it actively communicates the platform’s value proposition: safe space for exploration, exponential potential, and a clear path from idea to venture.

Today, WNEXT continues to help companies answer its central question: "What’s next?" The platform’s framework, captured in its visual identity, remains a testament to the power of design to articulate complex concepts and inspire confidence in the pursuit of the new.
